What is the deal with this seller? Clue me in
November 24th, 2007 by estreet

Kekoa64 is very strange. They have the most watchers – 64,000 watchers – of any listing on eBay.

Here’s what it is:
Make $100 per hour

kekoa64 sales statistics show they actually do sell $6K a month in “Make $100 per hour” guides.

Someone clue me in. What’s the deal with this listing?

I have found this listing confusing as well. I’ve havn’t purchased his ebook but I have gleaned info from his feedback that it is a list of wholesalers. I don’t know what he is offering that would be different from the hundreds of other wholesale ebooks on ebay. He is unique in that he is a young man and living a fun life in Hawaii. I think a lot of people may have a similar dream and are hoping they can find that success in an ebook.
I’m also puzzled by the thousands watching his auctions. Why would someone watch a BIN? I wonder if he is utilizing some third party software like sniping that would watch auctions and make him popular on ebay pulse. You would also think ebay would be on to him. I’m constantly amazed by the listings on ebay and how people create some interesting niche markets.
Have you followed any of the successful mystery auction listings? I find these fascinating as well.

I emailed kekoa64 asking how he got the watchers. I hope he answers because I’m very curious.

Very funny Estreet, you are Kekoa64! Don’t worry, I’m a new admirer and not one of the crew of vigilantes.

Scott, Kekoa doesn’t list any wholesalers in his eBook from my memory. He basically talks about buying low from places like Craigslist and selling high on eBay. He did have an interesting coupon selling idea… At any rate, it’s not what’s in his book that’s so interesting, it’s how he’s able to get such a loyal following. My best guess is that does lots of blogging and has help with HTML (he must have befriended a computer science nerd in college).

Kekoa makes his cash from eBook sales and affiliate marketing. Personally, I think he’s a marketing genius at a ripe age where he can go really far.

– Happy day! (Mermaid from Marin)
